The online application process for the Joint Entrance (JEE Main) April examinations will begin from February 8, 2019 on the official website, jeemain.nic.in. The candidates can register themselves through the official website between February 8 and March 7, 2019.
This section will consist of questions from algebra, analytical geometry, trigonometry, differential calculus, vectors and integral calculus.
This section will contain questions on various general topics, like gaseous and liquid states, energetics, chemical equilibrium, electrochemistry, atomic structure and chemical bonding, chemical kinetics, solutions, surface chemistry, solid state and nuclear chemistry.
Apart from this, it will also include general topics, mechanics, thermal physics, electricity and magnetism, optics and modern physics.
3. Inorganic Chemistry
The section of Inorganic Chemistry will have questions on isolation/preparation and properties of non-metals, preparation and properties of compounds, transition elements (3D series), extractive metallurgy, principles of quality analysis and ores and minerals.
4. Organic chemistry
This section will consist of several questions on concepts, preparation/properties/reactions of alkanes/alkynes, reactions of benzene, phenols, characteristic reactions, amino acids, carbohydrates and peptides, properties and uses of important polymers and practical organic chemistry.
The candidates need to pass Class 12 with Science as a stream (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) with at least 50 per cent marks.
The entrance examinations will be conducted from April 6 to April 20, 2019.
The results of the same are expected to be released on April 30, 2019.
Candidates will be able to download the admit cards from March 18, 2019 onwards.
